Mental Health Awareness

Looking after our mental health is just as important as caring for our physical health, and spending time outdoors can make a big difference! Being in nature helps reduce stress, improve mood, and boost overall wellbeing. Whether it’s a short walk, some time in the garden, or joining a local park group, getting outside offers a chance to recharge. It also creates opportunities to meet new people, build friendships, and feel more connected to your community, all of which play a vital role in supporting good mental health.

Walking & Talking

Walking and talking is a simple yet powerful way to boost mental health and reduce feelings of loneliness. Gentle movement in nature helps reduce stress, lift mood, and create opportunities for meaningful social connection. In Solihull, we’re proud to support several walking and talking groups that meet regularly in our parks and green spaces, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment for people to connect, share, and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors together. Whether you’re looking for company, fresh air, or just a moment of calm, these groups are a great way to support your wellbeing.
