Community Groups
Joining a community group can be extemely rewarding and provides a great opportunity to socialise, be active and get involved with lots of exciting projects.
Want to set up a new community group?
First of all check if there is an existing group in your area or local park - you could be just the person they are looking for to help their group grow! A number of existing groups are listed below.
If one doesn't exist and you would like to establish one Get In Touch for support.
We also recommend seeking advice via our partners at Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA), who can provide guidance on starting up a new group, managing finances, seeking funding and governance.
They have hundreds of useful templates and guides accessible via their resource library.
Get in touch with CAVA directly by email: solihullinfo@wcava.org.uk
Don't forget to check out the Love Solihull guide to establishing a new 'friends of' group, which you can download using the button below.
What's it like being a group leader?

"I have been leading litter picking groups since 2016. When I first started I thought I was the only person mad enough to pick up other people's litter, but it turns out I was clearly one of many! I thoroughly enjoy our group litter picks as I thrive off being with other people and hearing what they've been doing. I'm delighted that we make such a notable difference to our area and i feel it really enhances what Solihull Council do."
